Getting into the fandom~
While it's been 5 years since love live started, it's only been about a year since I came to like this project. If you've asked the me 2 years back, I would deny wanting to go into this project.- At that time, I see idol animes as something without serious plot and that's not what I look out for when I'm watching anime. However, as I see more ppl talking about it, I grew curious(I can be quite a curious person) and went to do some 'research', aka reading & watching small slips of info of this series. I also did hear the songs and they were great! As such, that's when I went to watch the anime and man, I wished I watched it earlier!
In the fandom; starting SIF~
When I'm interested in a particular thing(in this case, this anime), I tend to gather more info on it. I began to join some LL social community like FB grp. Somewhere in the midst, I found out about the phone game, love live school idol festival.
At first, I didn't want to play since I was bad at rhythm game(judging from my play in Cytus- a great rhythm but I gave up). Even so, I like rhythm games cos of how you can tap the notes accordingly to the music; it's like you're playing a music instrument. So, I tried the game and at the start, I almost wanted to quit from my pathetic playing; I couldn't fc snow halation normal... Still rmb that time, there was a event with listen to my heart as the event song and think Hanayo was the event SR- I didn't know about this event thingy; I was just busy trying to practise my playing.
That period of time, I devoted most of my time on this game(that period was after my A's so I gt quite a huge break) that I actually lvl up to rank 40 in about a week or so. My playing has improved quite a lot and I was able to finally fc snow halation hard but couldn't get rank S score. That introduces me to the rarity of the cards in the game; N, R, SR and UR.
And I learned about the use of 50 love gems to scout 11 times. At that time, I looked at the amt of love gems I've and asked myself, how in the world do ppl even get 50???- Buy them but I'm gng be a free player! Like most beginners, I couldn't resist much temptation to scout; just to get one SR(I haven't seen one that time) Knowing the use of 50 love gems, I decided to steel myself and save till I gt 50 love gems.
My First UR~
When I finally saved up to 50 love gems, I scout my first 11 draws. At that time, I had no idea how does UR and SR look like when been scouted. So when two different envelopes(aside from R) appeared, I was just dumbfounded, processing the info till the results were shown... It was my first draw and I actually gotten an UR and a SR at the same time! I was elated and even more when it was my fave char's UR!-Umi!
About my fave char... TBH, before I watched the anime, Honoka was my fave as she's intrigued me. But after watching the anime, I liked Umi much more than Honoka due to the fact Honoka's like... How do I put it nicely... A rather lazy leader?- I don't really like lazy char and Umi's the opposite definition of Honoka. Also, I admire her(Umi) for her capability!
My First Event SR~
My first event SR would be the ghost Nozomi.- I almost couldn't make it; only gotten her a few hours before the event ends and I was very happy that I managed to get her. TBH, when I first see how much pts I need to get her, I almost faint- 12000 pts were quite an amt to get, I thought, at that time(but now, it's not a problem, obviously>8<)
Also, full combo on event song hard was a problem and frustration for me(but not now~)
Obsession with SIF~
Considering my playing ability at that time, being able to fc a hard song was a huge feat for me. When I started Instagram not long, I began to upload pic of my fc when I did it. And that ended up with my friends and family being annoyed by it but I still did until recently, I stopped and posted to twitter instead(>8<)
VA of U's
Just learning the char is not enough(in my opinion), I came to know of the VA behind these char- they pretty much are the singers of those awesome songs. Over time, from ppl sharing different info in the FB grp, I came to know the VA much and tend to look out for them when watching other animes~
Regrets~
Part of my regret is that I should have come to this fandom earlier.- Missed quite a lot of stuff, esp the g magazine and comics mini figurine release; missed Kotori, Maki and Nico...(gng try find them in jap...)
While another part is that... While this series is great(I'm really glad I came to like it!), it kinda made me spend more than usual. I mean I understand that it's normal to spend much on anime but lately... Most of my anime loots consist of this series... It's like I gt too obsessed with it... I feel kinda... Bad cos it's unhealthy. So during my last trip in japan, after spending whole day at Akihabara and buying much of LL goods, I had to steel myself when I went to Akihabara again on the last day(it was free and easy day) so as to not buy anymore; there were just simply too many LL goods that I don't even need to go hunt for them.
So this time! I'll try buy their goods moderately instead! There r other things I need to consider!

And that concludes my life story of love live. I'm sure there are more to come and while there's the obsession there, I think it's not too bad since for once... Love Live brightened my life a bit with their music and events happening in the year! That's why I look forward to the movie screening in my country and also the new single of the new love live sunshine or should I say Aqours! Plus the many more future projects, work and events!

Also, doing this small 'project' gave me more exposure to drawing Kotori; Umi was not that hard to gasp her art concept but the same cannot be said for Kotori.
At first, I was tempting to change to HonoUmi instead since Honoka was easier to draw... But, KotoUmi is the pairing I want to draw so yeah...(While Umi and Honoka are both my fave, I prefer KotoUmi to HonoUmi even though both are equally cute~)
Looking at the various tumblr(mostly from fanfic authors), wonder if I should shift my blog to that platform instead? I mean I know there are many blog platforms out there like wordpress?
Maybe I should just stick to blogger?- After all, I did say I want make this my last blog; if I delete it again due to lack of interest, I'll not return to blogging community...
Will see how it goes~ Need to stop going into more social communities; currently has a bit too many to manage... Meanwhile I shall just stalk look at those tumblr acc for some 'interesting' anime stuff~

New work: KotoUmi Random Doodles & Write-ups
This is a random project I started this week. I just thought of drawing couple/lover situations that are often seen(e.g. sleeping on the lover's lap, etc.) The write-up's random; inspired from the situation I drew the couple into~(May be cheesy for one's good and its POV is obvious if you're a loveliver...)
I can't help just put my (somewhat) fave pairing in those situations. And that pairing is none other than KotoUmi~(>8<)

Artist/Author's notes: Initially, the reason y Umi piggy-back Kotori was cos Kotori sprained her ankle while hiking with Umi. Umi feel responsible and careless for letting Kotori get hurt... But, guess I didn't want it to be a sad memory so change it to Umi piggy-back Kotori home so as to not wake her up from having a whole day of fun at the beach.(Umi can a real gentle-'man')

The problem was: why did Kotori took a ride on Umi's bike?- I thought about it for the whole afternoon till I finally gt a little inspiration to work and ta da, it's done~

Well, gays are not welcomed and that's a fact I can understand in society, thus I refrained from saying much till now.
I guess I just want to try drawing different lover/couple situations I see on the net and what's better to use my fave pairing. Currently, the best interpretation of character I can do is Love Live members; I've the most 'interaction' with them.(from SIF)
And so, there's a chance that I may take down all posts of this project from instagram if one of my followers(esp. my friends and family) dislike such things...
Just A Dream Re-edit
Apparently, doing outline for 4 pages a day is not easy- partly cos I went out on one of the days for the whole day... And, outlining is not that simple- did make some mistakes here and there(-.-)
I'm going to extend the deadline from end of June to before I fly to jap.(which is 9 July) The cleaning-up stage should be able to finish before school reopens... And the shading and touch-up stages will be done during my next semester 1 mth break(hopefully, can finish by then...)

About another week before my trip to jap! But before that, I got a Stars War to fight.- Got to try get my ideal School Timetable before I can go in peace!(I finally did the plan; all that left is hope my timetable can be registered without any problem!)
Think I really gt post anime convention sickness. After CharaExpo15 ended, I feel bored at home(even though I gt quite a few stuff to work on...) It's more like I just lost my motivation... Or maybe I'm just can't wait to go jap soon? Anyway, next anime convention or rather a doujin convention is EOY which is 15/8-16/8. It's during my school term so gt to see my school load first...(Well, there's AFA I can look forward to yet seeing the date I may not be able to go...But LL Movie is another matter- I'm definitely watching!)
Guess that's all. SIF is kinda a horror for me; to aim tier 2 for both acc... I'm drained...

Just A Dream Re-Edit
If you've been following my twitter, draft stage is finally done!(>8<) Right now, commencing outline stage and from the planned schedule I did; to finish this stage before June, I need to outline 4 pages per day.(*8*)
Started with pg 2 as pg 1 will be in colour like the first edition so leaving it as the last, together with the cover page.
Small head-up: there'll be an additional pg; it's like an epilogue~ Stay Tune~
A little something: apparently, I used 39 pages and not 38 pages; forget to count in the cover page. And with the epilogue page, total of 40 pages will be used... Well, that just means I really need my supply of manga paper from Jap; think I should get about 3 set? Also, I'll include the sneak peak of the next installment(when I get more manga paper) To add, just realised I forgot about the author/artist's notes page as well(-.-) From the looks of it, guess the first chapter will be about... 43/44 pages?- Just like the first edition.
I'm thinking of making the first chapter into a small book. The book will include(besides the manga):
Character Designs(In colour)-1) Uniform 2) Casual Wear(will be making one that the casts wore in the last few pages~)

Love Live Keychain
After much thought, I've decided not to sell them. First, b'cos it took up too much time to just do one. Second, the quality of hand-made vs machine-made is too different... And so, I'm making for fun~ To make them even unique, I signed on each one of them(except for Hanayo; missed her out...) Also, I'm going to re-do third yrs' designs- not satisfied with their designs; think I could do better!
Right now, not sure whether to make them into keychains; they make good flipping coins~ As it is, yet to laminate and add in the keychain... Gng leave this project for a while(since I'm no longer selling; it's no rush to work on them~)
Possibility of extension of this project: I'm thinking of making another set with a different series- And that would be Yuki Yuna Is A Hero series with Washio Sumi Is A Hero series as a bonus~
New project: YuYuYuFanartProj
Talking about Yuki Yuna Is A Hero series, I recently started a fanart project on the series.
Currently, lineart of Yuki Yuna, Togo Mimori are done and Inubozaki Fu is at draft stage. Thinking of colouring but fear of ruining it... Maybe shade instead?
This project will be called yuyuyufanartproj(you can search this tag in insta to follow up~). First set under this project will be the 5 heroes in the given format; winter uniform wear at the right, Hero form at the left and mankai form at the top. Still left with Itsuki and Karin to work on.
After that, it will Heroes from Washio Sumi Is A Hero. Once the two sets are done, guess it'll be random fanart~ I'm thinking of drawing this series' fanart till I filled up my newly bought sketchbook!
New(?) Project: MaFanartProj
Not exactly a new project- just a compilation of all the Million Arthur Fanart I did. And, the set/series I was working before; [ScholarVsOriginal] will be included plus the others. Also, the chibi arthurs fanart that I want to work on... Well, maybe after first set of YuYuYuFanartProj is done...

For SIF, well... This time's events may be intense for me; going tier 2 for both jap and en... First, for en, I was being random but guess I just like to have at least one idolised SR of each member... And since my cool team has no idolised SR yet, I thought this event's Eli will be a good choice... However, never in my wildest dream that I would want to go to tier 2 as well in jap... Well, it was not Umi but rather Honoka and going tier 2 not b'cos she is my second fave; cos her costume!

Think next anime event will be EOY but high chance may not go; nid to see my schoolwork load... And AFASG15 in Nov... Hoping I can go yet think my exams going be the obstacle... At least there's LoveLive School Idol Movie to look forward to in October!(>8<)

Since the announcement about a month ago, finally the event's here! Presenting CharaExpo2015! (FYI: the event's at Singapore)
The events starts at 1000 but... Knowing Singaporeans and I was not wrong when I gt there like 0900. There was already a long queue outside... As there was an announcement that the first 15000 can get a goodie bag, I was afraid I wouldn't be one of the few(from seeing the queue) but guess not when I could finally go in the hall(away from the damm heat)

Once gotten the goodie bag, straight head to Xarts section. Before I go into details, here's the map of the event:
Xarts is where the Love Live x Kanda Matsuri collaboration items are sold at. Fearing that the shirt will be sold out, I(and my sibling) head over there first even though most ppl head to the Bushiroad booth first.

Sadly Xarts didn't bring in the charms but I learned something new!- How to go to Kanda Shrine! And interestingly, you can get there from Akihabara Station; from the Electronics Quarter exit if I did not rmb wrongly.- A 7 min walk so it isn't that bad. This time going there at least go once(considering it is where U's members train plus Nozomi's shrine maiden work at.
Moving on... After Xarts, my sibling and I went to the Bushiroad Booth. Gt to queue for a while. Once entered, I looked around the goods till my sibling pointed out that ex Love Live Jersery was selling fast; contrary from my belief that it was too ex so it shouldn't be THAT fast. How fast u wonder?- Fast to the pt when my sibling and I went into the booth, only like Nico, Eli, Umi(thank god but did not buy) and... Hmm... Hanayo/Rin are left? I think Maki still gt a few... Don't rmb seeing Honoka/Kotori(I may mix out Kotori with Hanayo...) I know Nozomi's was gone(That distinct purple was gone...) I guess I was looking out for my fave so I can say for sure, there was like 1-2 of Umi's left but did not buy(cos it's not practical in s'pore; the weather's practically telling u to be naked in the afternoon-.-)
Both my sibling and I kept walking around the booth of what to buy. I was tempted to buy the first live shirt of Milky Holmes but realise I was gng buy another shirt again... And then, at the love live session, the same temptation to buy SIF Matsuri T-shirt again. Both shirts are sold at $40 and FYI: there's a lucky draw for spending $40 and above(look below for info)
What I'm aiming is the signature of either of the milky holmes voice actress(but the best would be the third person; Umi's voice actress XD) But such thing really is based on luck. So, I was finding something that cost $40 and above. Not buying any shirt(though I did ltr), my sibling and I found this Love Live letter set that wrote there as $20 per set. Deciding to buy one each(to add up to $40), the both of us gt that.
However, when I was at the payment, I was shocked... Shocked at the cost, saying $24(doing your maths, the set was $12 each...) And there goes my chance to do a lucky draw and I kinda regret not acting like the guy at the counter beside me and get more stuff to add up to $40 and above...

Sadly, I was never lucky in Kuji since my first play where I gt A prize in jap(beginner luck)- was hoping to get one of the figurines(Uzuki, Rin or Mio).
As for my sibling, he played Sword Art Online Stage 2(I think) Kuji that cost $12- more ex but the prize difference is huge. He also gt H prize but gt a figurine instead...

About early afternoon, my sibling left(me alone in that crowded convention hall...) I stick around till about 1245 when there was a event called the Otaku Wars. Again, before I go into details, the activities outline for today:

The otaku war is like a quiz with a prize of a signed CD of someone popular... Well, apparently, I'm not that good of a Otaku; I could only answer most of the easy questions then some intermediate before the hard's really hard. There's a total of 30; 10 each of each level of difficulties. I just joined for fun and another is that you can take a rest(sitting while doing the quiz) even if it is like 15 min long thing.
I went to go look at the kuji and saw the Love Live's having like a few figurines left(left one Umi- very tempting to play yet I steel myself again and walked off)
And then, I watched Naruto The Last Movie(again- cos that last time, I missed the front part due to being late-.-) I regretted watching cos I missed Mashiro Ayano special live(-.-) She sang the opening song for Gunslinger The Animation, Vanilla Sky

After the movie, it was about 1600++. I went to Bushiroad booth once more- first to check the autographs that were redeemed(lesson learned from last AFA) Apparently, the one I'm aiming for is yet to be taken- mean I still gt chance. I fell into temptation and went inside the booth again. Saw quite a few stuff gone- the Jerseys were surprisingly sold out; very different from my expectations... Kinda made me regret? not buying- nah, I think I'm fine as it is without that 'jacket'.
Beside that 'jacket', the love live letter set was sold out too, I think. And love live kuji postcards left only a few- I decide to try my luck on it. In addition(I did come to try the lucky draw), after much thinking... I decided to get the SIF Matsuri T-shirt as well.- Seems like there were only M, L size; unlike the Kanda Matsuri's that has from S to XL. Obviously I chose M size.
TBH, I was also tempted to buy the Milky Holmes First(Second?) Live T-shirt but realise I'm spending too much plus it's not worth to buy till $80 when $100 gives 4 chances while $60 gives 2 chances(the difference's a bit...-.-)
In the end, gt the LL SIF Matsuri T-shirt and Kuji Postcard. This time at the payment, another weird thing: the cost that was supposed to be $44(T-shirt: $40, Postcard set: $4) becomes $40...(-.-) Nonetheless, I can now play the lucky draw!
And well... As expected... Didn't gt what I want(as though it will be that easy-.-) Got these instead:(5th prize)

My account of this booth: once again it is the time for me to see whether I've improved from last time. Well, I did(it's obvious from my progress since last year) but was disappointed b'cos my nerves still got the better of me... I couldn't calm my racing heart and the loud sound system from the movie and wrestling area were not helping. To add on, the play system set the pop-ups on... Think that I'm not used to the phone at the booth ; too small for my liking.
I chose Unbalanced Love Hard to play with. It was great at the start until my heart rate slowly got faster, palm get sweater... Hanayo's sweet voice singing the song did help calm me a little. In the end, I think I gt 2 goods and 1 bad- upon combo break, I break even more(cos my spirit's already broken upon the 'ping'-.-)
This was even more intense than me playing expert to get full combo... I shall challenge it again till I can finally walk away with a smile at the full combo, displayed on the screen with all the ppl watching.
Moving on, Daisuki Membership Sign-up
Daisuki.net is an anime website that stream certain animes. Upon signing up this membership, you get to do a lucky draw. There r three types of prizes; Prize A, B and C. Prize A is either a Madoka/ Homura figurine(which I want...) Prize B is Fate Zero Figurines and lastly, Prize C(which I gt) is a Gunslinger Stratos The Animation Folder. Not complaining much since I do watch Gunslinger Stratos The Animation; the concept is great but animation wise...
Next up is Book Walker Membership Sign-up
From the name, you can roughly guess what is it. It is an application that sells Ebook or should I say Emanga. Don't worry, the membership is free. Better still, they r giving out 1,000 worth of yen which is about $11 in s'pore. You can roughly buy one or two manga volume(s).

One last thing: given it is summer(in jap and all year round in s'pore), why not try immerse in the season? There's a booth that allows one to play Water Balloon Yo-yo fishing. Sometimes in anime/ summer matsuri in jap, you can see ppl playing this game.
First, you get a hook. The hook has a string attached where u r to hold the string and not the hook. The tricky part is that the string's made of paper and with the water balloons all in water, you get where's the hard part?
You gt to get a balloon before your string broke!- As you put your hook into the water, you've no choice but to put in part of the paper string into the water. The longer you take, the more water the paper absorb and in the end... The paper gave in and broke before u gt a balloon. There's also the part where your paper string is almost breaking and you who finally hook a balloon, the wet paper string gave in as well from the weight added. It's a matter of precision and accuracy plus speed.
I gt a slight hard time cos it's hard with all balloons inside and I could see no opportunity for me to hook the balloon up plus you cannot touch the balloon in the water; only use your paper string to move and hook a balloon up. In the end, frustrated, I just dive my hook in and managed to get one green balloon!

There is a total of 3 colours; pink, green and white. However, sometimes circumstances do not allow you to choose the colour of the balloon you want; though I did see a cosplayer who managed to hook up one white and green- she chose white. I had fun playing it while walking around; it was my companion after my sibling left(yeah, it was lonely to go convention alone...)
All in all, for paying $6(for early bird)/$8(on-site), all these freebies alone are definitely worth your money; better yet, free movie screenings and plus for Trading Card Game players, they gt a big playing card area for you- and if you want to learn, there r teaching areas as well!(I sound like doing some advertisement-.-)
About Magical Suite Prisma Nana: it's a new anime I think(haven't researched) and the convention is promoting. I'm planning to watch cos two of my fave voice actresses are inside! Here's the flyer:

My reflections:
Pretty much worn out after I reached home(had been walking with about 2 hour rest for almost the whole day) but... I must say I am much happy than I was in last yr's AFASG14 cos I gt to get the stuff I want before sold out!
Although my luck isn't very good(well, a person doesn't have too much luck when u gt to use them for so many things like capsules machine, random figurine boxes, SIF scouting, etc.) I can only say the BookWalker sign-up was the best out of all lucky draws!
Even so, I had fun, especially getting that water balloon yo-yo!- Had always wanted to try get one myself; the experience itself is rewarding! And, I gt to buy the shirt I was eyeing for since Love Live X Kanda Matsuri collaboration merchandises are coming to this event!- tbh, since jap released what they are selling at this collaboration event, I had wanted the shirt but upon knowing it is a jap event and during my schooling time... There was no way- and now, this event just made my wish comes true!
It's sad that I still couldn't get my fave voice actress' autograph... Oh yeah, 'fun' fact, it's bad timing that today's jap SIF event plus with en's going on as well and just so happen, I want get 2 SR for both events... It's overwhelming for me- Lucky it's the holidays for me~
