Ramblings and Christmas updates~

I think I will be making another empty promise...After slacking since my return from Japan trip, I decided to work on Just A Dream manga. Maybe it's been a long time since I did a manga project but apparently it took me a few hours to just shade one page... It was shocking to me but I guess from how I am progressing, I guess the manga will eat into my school time...(Hopefully it will be done before my mid term exams come...) With that said, my current progress: only one page shaded...-.-(Pathetic, huh?)

Moving on, I guess being a Singaporean is a good thing when you've the pivilage to watch U's performance in live screening!

While it's nice that I've live screening which cost $50 per show, it's sad that the real members are not going to come perform live at s'pore...(Maybe I am asking too much...) I've mix feeling of buying the tickets... Sigh~ I mean live screening is pretty much like watching shows on YouTube and stuff... Still got about 3 days to think about...

Next up, some of the stuff I did over the days after my return:

Gundam Fenice Rinasita- Had wanted this since the show, gundam build fighters, showcased it!

Pikachu Nanoblock-My brother's Christmas Present and I helped him to build it!

Bearguy F(Family)-This was the second one I bought from Japan and just finished this morning. With this and the yellow bearguy(China's gunpla), it will make a complete family set!

Building stuff had always brought me a lot of fun and enjoyment as parts and bits are fixed together to form into one piece; something like maths when a question is given, you have to think and solve it(though for such things like gunpla, the thinking part is pretty much solved by the developer himself!) That's why I like DIY especially when you think of something and make it yourself!-It's like creating something!

Oh yeah before I forget, I was glad I bought this tool set in japan:

It was handy when I fixed my gunpla; so much easier than the me in the past using scissors and my hands only... With this, I can fix gunpla much easier and as much as I love gunpla, I've this limit called space... With the addition of these 2 gunpla, my space can be said to be zero... I guess I've to wait until I find a glass cabinet to put my gunpla and my figurines as well.-Less dust and save up more space!

Lastly, my account of my Christmas yesterday:

I think ppl are getting harder to buy presents and hence my relatives simply gave money instead-giving the freedom to buy something we like.(It's like an eariler Chinese New Year...) Even so, there's this particular present while it may be nothing to ppl but to me, it was a great present indeed and my aunt really know what to get for! It is...

Faber Castle Pencil set plus an sharper!-To an artist myself, this is a great present! And what's more the pencils from the set she gave me a few years ago are going to wear out soon!-It was a good timing she bought this for me and even better, it includes even lighter and variant pencils! Also, I feel that her message in giving me this gift is to carry on my passion for drawing!-Such encouragement from my loved one; I'm touched!>.<(Sorry for the drama...)

That's about all then! I will carry on working on Just A Dream, unfortunately, the release of this manga will in the next year...-.-
Before I forget, Yuki Yunna is a hero final episode subbed version is out today and I was like a child getting overly excited to find out the ending until...It was an overly happy ending... How do I say this? I'm glad they get back what they lost and all but...When a story heads to a dark direction and getting thrown to a happy ending just left unsatisfied... I mean I don't mind happy ending but when it is sudden from a too dark a tone to a happy one...It just seem too unrealistic? Right now, I just feel like forgetting this anime(after being so hyped for it and it ended this way...) unless it has a sequel or an OVA...
EDIT: Ok, after reading further comments by ppl, I think I've really underrated this anime... Apparently, ppl speculated that Yunna didn't exactly get released from her Hero duties, shown by her reactions, expressions and most obviously the fainting at the end of the play. In addition, the story behind the Hero and the Devil King... In a way, members of Hero club get released from their hero duties except for Yunna and Yunna is fighting alone without anyone knowing... That is one theory that I find would be really depressing if it is really the case(just have to find out from the sequel light novel!)
I think I was being overly attached to Togo this character due to her back story from the prequel light novel in which I felt disappointed in her that she didn't follow through her decision; her resolve was this fragile...And thus, it affected my view of the ending...Sigh~(I think I will increase my rating higher to 9/10 than 7/10!)

This is Will signing off, ja ne~

Christmas Eve updates~

Spent the whole day outlining my remaining drafts for Just A Dream. And they are done!

Next up is cleaning up which I think I will leave it for tmr. Going to go pack my stuff a bit to find space to place my loot bought from Japan.(Right now in a mess...-.-) I guess I can't finish the manga in time for Christmas but I think I should be able to finish before Jan comes!

Instead of the manga, here's a drawing from the manga as a compensation!

Took me a while to finish. I think I will be using this as my background for the credit page.

I doubt I will be putting this together with my compilation of one-shot manga since I've decided that I'll be making a continuation!-Not sure when I will start since I like to take a break from doing manga and prepare for school...(My results are coming out on the 29th...The dreadful feeling but not as tense as my A level results...) While I love to start on the continuation, I also want to start working on the one-shot manga about the beginning of Love Live School Idol Festival...Sigh~ So many things that i want to do yet so little time...

That's all for now. It may be a little earlier but wish everyone a Merry Christmas! This is Will signing off, ja ne~(Can't wait for the last episode of Yuki Yunna is a Hero!-Why can't Friday come sooner???)

DA Anime-And-Manga Secret Santa 2014 Drawing

This morning I finally finished my drawing for the DA Secret Santa event! The folder for upload will only be opened today on the 24th at 12/1 pm EST which is about 12/1 am GMT+8(for me and it is considered 25th to me...) With that done, I can finally work on my Just A Dream manga! Not sure how long I will take but I will try my best to finish ASAP!

I was considering whether I should post my drawing for my Secret Santa receiver here since the folder is yet to be out. In the end, I think what are the odds that I've gotten my receiver and my receiver gotten me?-I doubt it will be such a match up so I will post now which is about 5 hours earlier almost a day earlier...(Let the receiver has a early gift if he/she does come and see!)

This was just the draft before I added in the colours!-Can u guess what anime this is? And then after adding colours...

Ta da! The characters in the drawing are from an anime called Sket Dance!-Accordingly to my receiver's wishlist! While I did not watch this anime, I do know a little of the characters in which they do have interesting pasts. Pelolipop is my receiver's DA name so hope he/she will like this drawing of mine!

A little comment on the drawing:
As mentioned I've never watched this anime before hence, it was hard for me to gasp the characters and draw them well... I had to do a lot of references(and still gt their attire wrong...) Also while I am drawing, I felt...Hmm how should I say this...Awkward? Not having fun?-Since I really dislike force drawing where I don't have inspiration to draw for that particular anime yet I've to, as requested or wished by my receiver... I think it sounds kinda bad when I am being this straight forward(but that's how I am...) I guess that's why if someone requested a drawing from an anime I've never watched or doesn't appeal to me...I don't think I will do a good job... Sigh~ I think I need to stop doing too much of my own work and go back to fanart or I shouldn't change myself; this is how I am and there's no point doing u dislike...Sigh~
Despite all negative ramblings I've fun, it was nice to be exposed to drawing Sket Dance characters since their hairstyles seem easy to draw which can be a great reference for my future OCs!

I supposed despite what I said, I will try participate in this event(provided I've the time) to expose myself more!

That's about it then! I will try finish Just A Dream fast and maybe think of another short one-shot manga before I consolidate all my current one-shots into one single book before school starts! This is Will signing off, ja ne~

I'm back!-Overboard fun and Yuki Yuna Wa Yusha De Aru ramblings~

To be exact, I was back about 2 days ago but the gruesome 7 hours flight had me knocked out for a while and until now, I still am tired; it's going to take some time before I am back to my full strength!

A little update: apparently when you're in a vacation, it is hard to get things done while having fun... In other words, my current projects which I thought I could finish during my trip were hardly touched...Sigh~ It was hard to work when I myself was fighting for sleep on every single day of my trip; let alone do work...-.- Depending on how long I take to recover from this trip, I will try my best to deliver Just A Dream before Christmas!-If not, I will finish it before this month! And then, I also have the secret santa thing to do for my receiver in DA...At least this has some progress when I did some drafts on the plane but that's the only progress...>-< I think I will work on that first(since I need to get it ready before 24th...)

Moving on, while having fun is fun, I went overboard in this trip...

The above is my old glasses which 'somehow' cracked when I placed in my pocket during the first ride I took at Universal Studio... I ended up using this glasses throughout the whole day at the theme park...It was...A terrible experience since I had to be careful; a little shake can cause the len to drop... I thought of using an eyepatch over my left eye but I think ppl will think I'm weird and worst of all, what if the eyepatch flew off during one of the rides I take...

In the end, I changed a new frame.(luckily there is a similar frame in the glasses shop I went to!)

From white to orange! Well, orange is not my fave; it is a neutral for me. I chose it as it gives off a refreshing feel! And so, goodbye to my old frame(it's been nice 2 years spent with you; time for you to rest!) and welcome my new frame!(please take care of me!)

Lastly, I can't help but to pen down my thoughts on this particular anime! It's not much of a famous anime like parastye or akame no kill; it is Yuki Yuna Wa Yusha De Aru! What attracted me first was the character designs which was similar to that of SAO.-I decided to watch and thought it was just like any other light mahou shoujo shows but the later episodes prove me wrong especially in episode 8 onwards. It was then (SPOILERS) I realised that in the prequel light novel, the girl called Washio Sumi was actually Togo Mimori! And then, the bedridden girl was Togo's forgotten best friend, Nogi Sonoko! It was kinda sad to see the scene where Nogi was forgotten by Togo yet Nogi still put up such a strong front! And then, in episode 10, much interaction between Togo and Nogi which was too painful to watch yet I am glad for Nogi that she get to talk to Togo despite being forgotten. And Nogi's friendship with Togo or Washio remain strong as seen from here:

And then:

Nogi really misses Washio or Togo... It is even sad that this is the ending the three previous heroes end up; one bedridden, the other crippled and last one dead in battle... Is there no happy ending? Will Yuki Yuna Wa Yusha De Aru end up a tragic like these three friends or a slightly happy one?-Can't wait for the last episode where I have a bad feeling either Togo going to lose her memories again or Yunna... Considering that Togo is already in her Mankai's form, I wonder what's her sacrifice...(Please not the memories again!) Sometimes I think what broke a person is not the loss of physical abilities but rather their memories... From the animes I watched, loss of  memories always end up the 'death' of a person; it makes the person empty... After all, memories are what make an individual unique or rather define him/her. Without them, I suppose that person can be said to be soulless... I really hope Togo/Yunna don't end up that way...(It will become like the Valve The Liberator ending...)

Can't wait for this week episode which is on Christmas!(Please let the episode be a good Christmas present though I kinda prefer the bad ending more...Don't really want a BS ending where everything is solved by a simple solution like 'friendship power' or something similar...)

That's about it then! I will post my trip experience after I have sort out my photos. It will take a while with my body sill recovering plus I still have more urgent work to do-_-
EDIT: A sneak preview for all:

Away-updates before leaving~

I will be going off somewhere this week until next Friday. This just means no updates until then but reassure there will tons when I am back! Aside from that, updates on my Just A Dream:

The above two are as you can see, in colour. The first one is the first page and second is the cover page. I think I need to change my copic markers soon, especially the green one; it is getting hard to colour, causing those unequal colouring lines...I thought of doing digital colouring but...

While the tree colouring seems well done but from that on, the girl and her uniform will be hard to colour... In the end, I guess I am more suited for traditional style! The above is just sneak preview! Currently, I am more or less done with the outlines for most pages. The manga should be ready in this month-maybe near the end of December? I will be doing the shading while I am away; hopefully I can finish the shading for those pages with outlines and erasing done! After this manga is done, I think I shall take a break. Maybe work on my tales project?

Moving on, I've yet to get started on the Saint Christmas gift for my receiver...-.- Maybe I will do that as well when I am away as well...Sigh~

Lastly, SIF updates... For EN server, I finally gotten SR Hanayo! But for Jap server, I've yet gotten Maki...Sigh... At least I am at ease for my EN account. I guess I will have to grind more in Jap server and pull an all nighter till I get the SR...Well goodbye to my sleep...-.-

Well that's about it then. Kinda sad that I will be missing my weekly animes but this just mean I can watch 2 episodes for those animes I miss at one go when I come back!

This is Will signing off, ja ne~(See ya in about 9 days from now!)
