Comics Day!-CompAce magazine, MGLN original chronicle movie first vol 1 & MGLN innocent vol 3 bought!

Last Saturday was the comics day event in Kinokuniya. I went to Kino earlier in fear of the free comics being taken up. However, in the end, there weren't much people and well I got a bag of comics.

Well, they're... Comics literally; like in the west and not the east... I guess I'll take my time to read them...

Along with this event exclusive for members, there was a 20% discount for books and magazines. And, I bought CompAce magazine, MGLN original chronicle movie first manga volume 1 and MGLN innocent volume 3.

I know that I said that I won't buy CompAce magazine anymore due to it being bulky but seeing it as MGLN innocent is starting on a new arc with Subaru and Teana as children and the free gift of MGLN Vivid phone strap... As a MGLN fan, I can't resist much of buying it.(Sigh) It was a good thing I did or I wouldn't have known that my assumption that Vivio was practising to fight with Einhart came true, seeing their fight in this issue plus the great turn-around in Fate Prisma Illya 3rei!

Coloured page for a new arc! SPOILERS: This scene is a dream of Subaru asking Teana about Brave Duel

FATE! OMG! The glasses look great on you!(I always take Fate as a glasses person!) And Alica is as short as ever. Wonder how does the other grown-up characters look like especially the materials!

 A little summary of the chapter:(rough understanding since I do not know japanese; understanding through the art.) Apparently, Subaru thought of asking Teana about Brave duel that she even dream about it and in her dream, Teana not only knows but is a top player(?) And a large amount of pages is put into introducing the Nakajima family, interaction between Subaru and Teana where the Subaru's  dream takes place but the reactions are different from Teana. With that, Subaru and Teana reach the T&H shop for brave duel. A much grown-up Fate plus a little taller Alicia are shown with Alicia doing MC in bunny outfit while Fate helping out with the shop. I guess this is where the chapter ends with Subaru going to try out brave duel?- No idea about the last part... This got me curious as to how Subaru and Teana's barrier jacket will look like and as well as the other characters; will they(the other characters) have same barrier jackets or upgraded to the strikers design? That can only be answered in the next issue!

Wonder how Claus felt when he stared at the ship, unable to do anything...And how did Einhart actually felt...

Great willpower you have there, Vivio. Sometimes when I see their adult modes, I can't help to think of them as adults when they are still children. To have such willpower when children are supposed to know fun and not pain, I applaud for them. (Then again, this isn't reality...)

I must be lacking behind; I had no idea why is Vivio(adult form) wearing black jacket again when she had adopted the white jacket after her mother(Nanoha)? A boost-up?-No idea. Anyway, it is as I assumed or predicted that like the fight between Nanoha and Fate, Vivio is following her mother(Nanoha)'s footstep of befriending; by fighting your soon-to-friend whom will turn into your lover best friend for a lifetime. It was intense and in fact the best until now. Readers can also see how much Vivio has improved from losing to Einhart straight in the beginning and now, she's landing hits plus at the end...Wonder if Einhart will faint from this punch? [Having conflicting thoughts of which conclusion will be great since I feel that Einhart should lose as that girl need a wake-up call especially from Vivio to let go of the past yet on the other hand, I like Einhart's character and hate to see her lose; like Fate...](Sigh) Bet MGLN vivid is ending soon with this fight...

FINALLY! Both of them finally met after so many chapters! Great to see Miyu!

Brilliant strike by Illya! That scumbag deserves it for hurting Miyu and everything!

This is one chapter worth to buy the magazine. FINALLY! I mean like finally they met and this time having the ability to rescue Miyu! Although the author is real cruel to cut their meeting short with the ending... I guess after settling this big problem which is the climax of the climax in the series, all secrets shall be revealed unless the author has planned for a fourth arc? Oh well, I am always ready for more so long as the storyline is interesting! Looking forward to the animation in July!

And so, that's about it! I'm getting lazy to post the full chapter and also, I felt that if one is really a fan and don't have the patience to wait, then he/she should just buy the magazine to read instead. In a way, if you want it, you got to get it yourself or take the 'painful' way of waiting. I just upload a few pages to get people interested and buy the magazine if you really want to know the full chapter.

Labour Day- A day spent well with friends. Free MA postcard gotten!

Today is Labour Day; a day where working people like me can rest. And yes, I did rest much though the energy saved from the rest was spent in the evening when I met up with one friend to pass her some stuff and then meet the other group of friends for dinner. The friend I met up earlier gave me a birthday present which may be 'a bit' too late but I am still happy; not because of the present but rather she remembered! In addition, it is the thought that counts.

 While shopping with her, I went to a comics shop. I was looking around until I saw a Million Arthur(MA) postcard at the counter! Not sure whether it is free or not, I asked the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper actually replied that it cost a lot when in actual fact... IT IS FREE! Too good to be true! And if my friend didn't suggest going there, I wouldn't have known!

 I guess MA is super popular, giving out postcards and better yet, there is a MA event in my very own country, Singapore, on the 10th of May! Look forward to the event!

FYI: For Singaporeans like me and like comics, Kinokuniya has a comics event that give out free comics on this coming Saturday! Don't miss it!

Thoughts on my Working and Schooling Lives...

A drawing done a while ago...

It has been almost a month since I started work (and likely to get my pay in the next week or something). I can only conclude that desk work is really not my cup of tea. To think I can fall asleep while at work just goes to show how boring I think desk work is, to me.(sigh) Well, I find myself to be one that prefer hands-on to theory based work. And this temp job kinda fuel my dislike towards desk work...

It's not exactly bad but I find myself wasting time doing the job when I still have many (own) projects to do... It's an irony; when I've no job, I try to think of plan to spend my day and when I've a job, I can't help feel that I don't much time doing the things I've planned out... Sometimes, things just don't go my way...

That's work life for ya! Moving on to my school life... Just last week's Friday, I received the results of my application from one of the local Universities I applied for. I didn't believe it at first as it was said the results will only be out in May. In the end, the results were really out and...DRUMROLL PLEASE! I got accepted by the Uni! Though it isn't my first choice of course, I am still beyond happy to know I've a place in a local Uni!

Being the somewhat boastful person, I asked my other JC friends, whether they've received their results. My expectation was downwards disappointing; the friend replied that like any other friends, she had long gotten the results from both local Uni long ago... That piece of news just brought my mood down from elated to somewhat sad. I can simply conclude that I am like the last of the last in my friends to have received my results and my result is just from one Uni; I am still waiting for the other Uni's(Sigh) before making a decision.

Tales Project Monthly Update: Tales Of Destiny 2

After much push(by myself), I completed TOD 2 characters with the last two done, just this week.

 If I must say from my experience, I had a hard time drawing TOD 2 characters, especially Loni... After drawing a second time(the one I have uploaded), Loni still don't look like Loni...(Sigh) I did some screw up with Harold... The only ones I am proud of are Reala and Judas.

And so, the next one in line, TOS may or may not be uploaded. (It depends largely on my progress in my other projects...) I'll try my best to finish chapter 1 of the manga series by this week so that I can either start on TOS or the new manga one-shot.

Updates: new manga and story ideas!

With my BF manga done, I can now go back to working on my new manga series and Tales Project as well. Just a few hours ago, I finished sketching and outlining the last 2 characters from TOD 2. I'll be uploading TOD 2 drawings at the end of this month! Tales Project will be put on hold until further notice. [It depends very much on how long I take to finish the first chapter of my manga series...]

Besides that, I just come up with an idea for a new one-shot manga. It is largely inspired by the song called Just A Dream by Nelly. I bet you can guess what's the title of the manga.

Brief into to the manga: The story will involve the meeting of the two girls, their stories before one of the girls find out that everything is just a dream. So did she just make up the other girl and everything is just a dream? Find out in this new manga project which is an one-shot.

It'll be a challenge for me to do since I'm bad at drawing at girls but I'll try my best. This will be done after chapter 1 of the manga series is done. [As of now, I've yet to think of a name for the manga series...](Sigh)

Aside from a new manga one-shot, I thought of a new story to write on despite the fact that my current story, Dark Tale, has no progress...(Sigh) But this may have to wait until I'm done with the current projects.
