[Weekly Update] RG RX-78-2 GDS ver, JAD Re-Edit & LL Keychain progress, etc.~

Recently, caught a flu and the past few days had been nasty for me(right now, am feeling better but yet to be well-.-) As such, work progress has been rather slow.

RG RX-78-2 Gundam GundamDockSG(GDS) ver.

Night Light~

FINALLY, FINISH IT! I must say RG is the hardest grade I ever did(only grade I didn't do is PG) And the experience of building this gunpla was... A traumatic one; from losing parts(found them ltr) to broken parts(didn't notice till I see the instruction booklet-.-) plus the stickers... This is the first time I feel that pasting stickers can be this challenging!
Yet, overall it was a great experience (and finally understood why RG costs that much despite being same size as HG). Even so, shall think twice of buying RG- it can really test a person's patience(and my patience was thinner than usual due to my flu...) Still left with RG Zaku(Red) GDS ver. to work though high chance I am buying more from jap...

Just A Dream Re-edit:

Did one page draft yesterday I think and well it was kinda a mess since my planning for that page was rather vague plus the fact that I am sick, was not helping at all. Current progress: page 32~
While the progress may be slow, good news that I finally finished planning the rest of the pages!-As it is, the manga will end at pg38(unless there's a need for an additional page...). Managed to end it within the page limit of 40! Even though this version has less pages than the first version, there will still be lot of touching-ups to work on(sigh... my most hated part...).
Considering my body condition, think I will leave 2 pages per day for this week- likely to finish all drafts by this week!
Looking at how I progress from this project... I guess I may need to use my other break to finish it... Draft stage may be done(by this week) and outlining stage can be done before July plus cleaning-up stage that may take up some of my July time; the shading part will be the most tedious and time consuming that I afraid I may need to leave it for my next break. So to break it down:

1. Draft Stage- done (likely) this week
2. Outlining Stage- done before July
3. Cleaning-up Stage- Done by mid/near end July
4. Shading & proofreading-???(next break...)

I may not be able to finish the manga in this break but I did promise the teaser for my other 2 chapters.- Likely to show a bit of chapter 2; not sure about chapter 3(may/may not, depending on my work load...)

Love Live Keychains 

Well, I am going to not put all hopes up yet not give up. All in all, if there's no sale, I guess I can make the keychains for fun? Will be making this week; posting when done.

Other stuff~(read if u don't hate my ramblings- you've been warned!)

So my University registration date and time are out yet I've yet to plan(hate to plan, sigh...) Suddenly, I feel I have many work loads to work even though I kinda put myself into this 'mess'... 

Sometimes, I wonder... Why do I go to such lengths for my work even though I know there won't be many audience; like how I blog, thinking ppl want to know when in reality...sigh... I suppose... I just want to live up to my belief of working my best and end up with no regrets?

Line Event @313 Somerset

I don't use Line; only went there cos my friend wanted to go so took some pic for my sibling who does use(and is a fan)

Can't say much but only that there's a Line collaboration shop selling Line official merchandises where you've to queue to get in. If I'm not wrong, the shop will last till first week of July so Line fans still gt time to get down to take a look!

That's about it then. The weekly update post will be out ltr in the week.

Funan Matsuri 2015 + CharaExpo Coming up(XD)

Funan Matsuri is an event that lasted a week and it officially ended yesterday.  Weekends were more fun since the creators' hub will be there though weekdays(I went on one of the days), I got hooked on K the anime when it was showcased.-In a way I gt another anime to watch before school starts. It was more interesting and fun for me this year(partly cos last yr gave me bad memories...) due to the amount of goods I bought(all lovelive>8<).

And I must say I was quite lucky in this event.

SECOND YEARS!!!

This lovelive card I gt- initially I gt the 3rd yrs(it's not bad) and I don't mind having it until there was this guy who was finding this 3rd yr card outside the store- he bought quite a few just to get this but couldn't so in a way, I was like his slight hope. I opened the wrapper before him and yes, it is the one he wants and you had no idea how happy he is, asking me what I want while showing his collection(that's how I know about how many he bought). I said the '2nd yr' and his 2nd collection was it; the trade was a huge success! Tbh, I love to get Umi solo card but with Honoka and Umi in one card- I can't ask for more with 2 of my faves together!(I don't mind Kotori and come to like her slowly~*8*)

Next up: Moejigen Lovelive goods:

After buying the SR envelope with keychain inside at AFASG14(you see at the right side), I came to like this grp and to think they came for this event, I immediately wanted to go to that booth but it was quite crowded when I gt there with my friend so instead, walked around seeing other booths. There was one booth that its art is great and I would have loved to buy its badges if not for the price; it was $4 per badge and not the big type but the rather small type so thus, my friend(who also agreed it was ex) and I decided to not buy...

This is my first time buying artbook(unofficial) and well, I really love this plus the fact that this grp sells great offers- like buying that NicoMaki book, comes along a bag plus a pouch bag. And if you spent $30, you can another bag.(I shared with my friend to get the bag; my kind friend didn't want the bag so it's mine>8<)

As for the Umi keychain... That's their style of putting the keychains into UR, SR and R envelopes(I bought the SR at AFA last yr) This time they have the UR and R versions!- I bought the UR version(slight ex cos the keychain has pic on both sides as compared to the SR and R ver.)

My story of this matter is quite... a funny one... At first, I really love to buy but realise 'what if I didn't get my fave(Honoka/Umi) like last time(the SR ver I gt was a Maki...)' and the cost isn't helping much.
Although my first argument can be easily defeated by the fact that trades are allowed for UR ver(but not SR/R ver...)- this trade is not the normal trade between fans but rather the booth person will help with the trade; first, if u open and dislike the char u gt, you can leave that char with the booth person where you'll write the char inside the envelop and the char u want to trade. After that, u need to write the password(any word) so that the booth person can confirm you're the owner. Before the booth closes, come back to get back yours whether is it traded or not(you wouldn't want to waste your money just b'cos it is a char u dislike/don't want or whatever the reasons)
Knowing the above situation, I still didn't want to buy since I gt quite a few keychains at home that I had no idea how to 'efficiently use' it. However that changes when my sibling went to buy and gt Umi.

I was jumping for joy(not literally but my heart was) but not my sibling who likes Kotori/Nozomi more. So I decided to try buy one to get either so that I can trade with my sibling and it turns out... I didn't get what my sibling... And neither did I get my faves either...I gt Hanayo... Well, I don't dislike/hate her or anything(she's pretty much like the shy me...) but under this circumstance(my sibling don't really like short haired girls)... Sorry Hanayo...
So I put it up for trade.-I think it was lucky that I went in the morning since it was pretty much the last day of the event so chances are reduced much more as compared to yesterday. While heading back to rest before coming back again in the evening to check, I kinda prayed for mine to trade cos I know there r Hanayo fans but maybe not as many as those popular chars like Maki and Nozomi...
Luckily my prayers were answered when I came back in the evening. It was still a challenge to get it though since the booth was crowded again... When I checked the envelopes up for trade and mine's gone from the basket, I started to feel excited at the fact that, 'just maybe...' and headed to ask for mine. When I searched at the envelopes that had successful trades(but owners yet to come to collect), I saw mine; the last one in the pile- likely to be just traded off(thanks whoever traded with my rice goddess!). Showing the traded keychain to be Nozomi, I nodded to confirm and the kind booth person gave a new envelope to me, considering it is kinda ruined with the writings needed to be done for the trade.
With that, I can trade with my sibling!

In the end, I was happy with the goods I gt accordingly to my fave! But that comes with the problem that I spent quite an amt in this event... And with CharaExpo coming up this weekends... I'm really going to be broke(RIP $$$) Sigh...

Talking about CharaExpo, once again the lovelive goods(official) are attracting me. Esp the Kanda Matsuri T-shirt- selling at $35; so gonna buy it, gt to rush off to that booth first!

Not just this, they even bring in the Jerseys from SIF Matsuri:

But the price is enough to make me think twice of buying the jerseys plus the fact my country's hot yr round... Look's like the other anniversaries files are out for sale(I think I only gt until 3 million anniversary...)

There are even more stuff(like SAO, PMMM, Milky Holmes) that I think my money's at risk...(Getting more hype than AFASG14)

Another 4 more days to go!- meanwhile gt tons of stuff to work on...(will be posting a post on that ltr in the week; almost forget about my weekly update...)

Made a fan-manga for the birthday girl. Here's the teaser video(try to guess the background song~):

I did the video cos it's hard to upload the manga in images onto insta. Plus the fact that I'm going to scan the pages for better reading quality. And here's the pages:(I've already uploaded to Deviantart & Pixiv)

EDIT: I've edited the pages with some shading and corrected some mistakes made. All edits in blue(like this one)

I tried to put all what I wanted to say into the last page's artist/author's notes but apparently, I kept missing out stuff I want to say and also make some mistakes here and there(-.-)

First of all, I'm terrible sorry if the art sucks; this is partly cos I rushed through this (since I started just on Sunday...). As such, I didn't do the shading as well; my hands were screaming for 'break' after I finally finish drawing the drafts, then outline with mechanical pencil before the final outline with marker.

All the time(while working on this manga) I kept asking me what made me want to make a manga and not a art piece for her birthday(no offense but she's not my fave) so why go to this extent? I explain a little in the notes on last page but will go into the details.- Like I said, Nozomi's loneliness is something I can comprehend and it more or less becomes the connection I felt between her and me. In a way, I am empathetic with her situation(but not her 'washi washi punishment'- again no offense...) 

And at the start, added a little NozoEli moment (so fans of this ship, rejoice!) Now that I think about I could exclude this part to make things easy but oh well~ 

Some confusing parts like Eli's not stopping from Nozomi going for her shrine duty. Like in the notes, I feel that Eli has similar mindset as Umi where just b'cos it is Nozomi's bday, doesn't mean she(Nozomi) should be excused from her duty... In a way, I feel Eli would not think it is a good excuse but feel that Nozomi shouldn't do her duty on her birthday- a rather conflicted situation so Eli chooses to 'close' it with a 'it's nothing' excuse. 

And then, the birthday surprise... Like I said, maybe it's cos Nozomi trusts Eli to give her a spare key or that Eli knows where Nozomi normally put her key(like in the anime; under a flower pot). I know it's a bad reasoning but... Deal with it(><)    

At page 5, my OC Haru(from Just A Dream Re-edit) made a cameo appearance in her younger age(just a heads up). For this manga, I thought of putting both English and Japanese languages inside but there are some that I still couldn't translate into jap so abandoned the idea... Lastly, the different ink colours are pretty much obvious for which char talking~    

EDIT: To further add on, this fan-manga allows me to draw different Nozomi- School Uniform ver, Shrine Maiden ver and lastly, her younger self. Not just that, I also drew the other members in their casual winter outfits(from SIF if u notice>8<) 
Will be updating this version with the one uploaded on Deviantart and Pixiv(going have to delete Pixiv's since I can't change the files, being a free member...)

Once again, happy birthday Nozomi!(Thanks for the 5 love gems>8<)

[Weekly updates]: MA Fanart Mordred & GundamdocksSG~

Will be making the weekly update in the weekends instead; this is just a short post.- Need to pen down some thoughts.

I started work this week so had been busy. As a result, I had to leave all my projects on hold/ working some.

Million Arthur Fanart

Only managed to finish [ScholarVsOriginal] series, with Mordred ver as the last one. (Had already uploaded to the respective platforms~)

Regarding this series, I'm planning to make a short manga of how this comes about; how the original had to fight with their scholar counterparts. Well, plan that is.(haha) Will see how is it first. Before that, I should really draw the chibi arthurs that I wanted to draw.

Due to work, I got to put it on hold for this week; will be resuming next week! Had already planned near the end so should be able to proceed well from next week onwards. 

Love Live Keychain Project

From the looks of it, it's highly that it is not going to work... I'll still be accepting pre-orders until near end of July when my school starts. 

As for the keychain making... I've received the printouts(this week) but yet to make a set of 9. Again due to work, I could only do it in the weekends. However due to a certain shrine maiden bday, I'll have to put this on hold for a while; likely to resume on next week's monday/tuesday.

Bday Fanart(Try guess whose~)

Considering it is in another 4 days, I'll have to put this as the top priority. Had kinda planned for it so all that left is to draw it out within 4 days(-.-) 

GundamDocks @ S'pore~

GundamDocks at my hometown began this week's Thursday and I went to see after my work.

  

The crowd was no joke; had a tough time walking around. Since I was pretty much exhausted after work, I just went there to buy the exclusive gundam for my hometown 50th anniversary!

Once again, I think I will work on it next week instead.

Pretty much that's all. Realising it isn't that short of a post. I guess I will label this as part 1 instead; part 2 for the weekends~
