[Updates]Doodles, Requests & Chihaya's birthday(><)

It's been a long while. Real busy with Uni life; when you've tests and labs coming at you consecutively, there's no free time(*tough life...For now~)

And so, just finished majority of the tests to be taken this semester. Plus this coming week is my semester break!!!(Hooray!, Banzai desu!!!XD)
Has been waiting for this break for so long that I thought it never came.
With always waking up early(to catch the shuttle bus) & sleeping late from working on tutorials, my body can't handle that routine for long; I need my sleep... Plus tests are always on the weekends, can't sleep in-.- Not just that, there are tutorials to prepare for the next week... You can say I don't really have a 'life'.

Even so, I still managed to give myself some off-time/free time- mostly to draw and read. Currently, watching shows is hard for me; it's hard to control myself... Lacking behind a lot of eps for the animes I was watching for this season...(there are only 2 but I can't even watch them... There's always the break after this semester ends!)

Art Updates 

Since MIA(missing in action) for so long, not even sure what is uploaded and what is not, at here; as compared to my Insta & Twitter... 

Due to the busy school weeks I have, haven't gt the time to really touch up on the sketches done(let along scan the ones done...) So they r still in the WIP(work in progress) stage:

 Random LL doodles series

As mentioned, I will be doing more doodles, concerning the 14 characters did under this series; won't be adding anymore new characters. 

In other words, doodles could be interactions of the characters or more doodles on that character to show more details b'cos of reasons like the first design didn't show much, etc.

Battle between Tsubasa & Umi

Tsubasa Vs Umi

While there's a backstory for it, I feel it's better for the audience to interpret. Though I think it's pretty much easy to understand from this sketch; Umi protecting Honoka & Kotori from Tsubasa the grim reaper... As to y Kotori and Honoka are hurt & y Tsubasa's attacking(or attacked) them... I leave that to the audience's imagination. (If you want to know my perspective of the story, here you go: LINK)

PanaRin; that which that cannot be~

Rough sketch of the short 'manga'. If you didn't understand, it's built around the concept of humans & witches cannot be together... The typical settling when two different races can't be together... Similarly, debating whether to colour or not~

I will leave the imagination to the audience but in my perspective;

1. Rin's sad & troubled as to y Hanayo left
2. Hanayo erased Rin's memories. Rin's troubled & sad, trying to recall... Hanayo & the times spent...

Screwed up Pana's broom so badly-.- Don't know what came over me... Sigh...

• Umi:

Realised from the first doodle; didn't show much details of her so here it is~ 

Umi in her uniform!XD. And I may draw her in her work shirt as well(the shirt inside the uniform) to 'break down' her character design even more~ For her sword, it is more revealed in the battle between her and Tsubasa. 

No idea whether to color...

From having difficulties carrying the sword with 2 hands to carrying it with 1 hand(with style~) I'm glad I managed to make the contrast between the both in terms of maturity. Gng touch-up on the young Eli a bit~

And that's the few doodles did for this series~ Will be making more but need see my schedule and time...

I will be honest here; I never expect anyone would request(since no one but only 1 or 2 asked me before) But...I was so wrong...

Gt flooded with so many feedback msgs, regarding requests... That I had to limit(or I will be breaking):

I'm really surprised & shocked; thought the wait part(till May) would deter ppl from requesting but guess the free part, attracted them...
Although... I'm more surprised as to how they found out...I mean none of them are my watchers(yet)...

Regardless, I already hav like... 7 requests pending... (See HERE) Gng be a 'slight' busy holidays for me after the semester... Still thinking if I should work on some requests during this 1 week breako.o

And depending how I feel about this... I may continue to do this(*Cross fingers*)

Rushed work much since her birthday was on the week of my quiz plus I kinda only knew after seeing numerous fanarts of her on twitter... 

Would be nice if I can colour but the lack of time so... Used coloured outline and music notes(pls correct me if any one is wrong & apologies for that><) as decoration~

Just like the first, I'm thinking of doing a grp artwork for them again(maybe after I get this mth issue of dengeki G's magazine for the images for better ref~) but it could be hard due to studies getting rather... Hectic... 

Shall see how(haven't pre-ordered tbh... Gng listen to the song before deciding...)

Due to sch much, the compilation is delayed by a lot... Will be getting it out soon(but how soon, nid see my work load...) Nid get it done soon or the art works will be piling up...

[Updates] Happy CNY & Valentine's Day!

Getting busier in school and only gt a little spare time to update. So first, let me wish everyone Happy Chinese New Year and as well as(for today) Happy Valentine Day!- Hope everyone have a nice day today with their loved ones!^^

Chinese New Year

Like any other year, 2 days off for this festive occasion. Well, though it's said 2 days off, I don't exactly do nothing on those 2 days...

First day was spent on visiting relatives' houses which is a tradition for this occasion(after all u don't always gt the time to when everyone is living at different places but it is during this time that there's time to spare to visit!)
A whole day is spent on visiting since like I had said, everyone's at different places... It's lucky that my father knows how to drive which made travelling easier and faster~
And by the time, reached home... I was dead tired so studying is hard...

On second day, decided to stop visiting cos had 2 tests the day after...But ended up sleeping in the morning-.- And only started studying in the afternoon- wasn't productive...(Luckily the tests weren't that bad...)

While holidays r great but the massive no. of make-ups to go & watch was a hassle that I really hate to go through... It's a love-hate relationship unless that is recess or semester break; else it sux, making my schedule go haywire...

Valentine's Day

First time I am doing something for this day(done on a whim tbh...)

It was a very rushed work; did a lot of editing before been satisfied with the draft... Had wanted to work on their official Valentine outfits but it's hard to draw(esp for Riko, given her pose...)

May hav gone overboard with the hearts(>8<) And not sure y... Can't help but feel I 'may' hav drawn them looking much like Umi & Honoka(respectively) instead...

Random LL Doodles

Part 2 of set 5:

Sry for Anju OOCness>< Looking cool there, Erena! And Tsubasa... May hav made her too...Child-like yet dangerous(wielding that weapon~haha)

Introducing Cowgirl & Soldier Anju~ 

As promised, added Yuuki Anju(Costume designer of A-Rise) into set 5/A-Rise set. In addition, added Archer Erena & Shinigami Tsubasa(from previous part; see here) without their coat and jacket.- very much to fill the space and also give a sense of their inner wears. 

*Fun Fact: Tsubasa is... Kinda like wearing a school uniform inside her jacket- She blends into the human society for ease of her job~

Inspiration used: (mainly the guns~)

Notes for Cowgirl & Soldier Anju(long story ahead; this is a warning!)

Grew an interest in gun drawings, esp heavy type like sub-machine guns. Hence, initially(after Archer Erena was done) either Tsubasa or Anju will be chosen for the soldier theme... And then comes the Shinigami Theme(due to that scythe pose I wanted to try drawing...) and feel Tsubasa fit that role more so...><

Anju was given the Soldier theme but while drawing... Went off-track and drew a Cowgirl at first instead of a Soldier-.- However, managed to work out the Soldier part first. Feel it's a waste to scrap off(esp the holding gun part...) the cowgirl's idea was added as well- decided to take it as Soldier Anju's life after war~

The Gun drawing was hard without any pose to refer to; had to do from scratch... Was glad it worked out 'fine'~ Pardon if how the gun should be drawn or held is drawn wrongly...*let me know though; I had no knowledge or experience in holding such weapon but the one Detective Rin held(see here), I do hold and shoot before(in my sch's police CCA marksmanship test but it's quite a long ago and until now I'm surprised I passed~)

This is likely the last set of this series~ I will be doing short doodles based on these... 14 members~ Unless there r requests of doing... Like... Nico's siblings or that I still hav other poses I like to experiment on, no new characters; I will be working on those 14 members with their fixed roles given! 

Compilation of works since last yr's autumn...

I've decided to set this mth to be the latest I will compile.(maybe during my one-week break) Note: won't be adding random LL doodles inside- gng put this as a stand alone series with short works planned~

That's pretty much all the updates so far. Drawing time is reducing more and more as the sch semester draws to the middle- mid terms r coming; having one this coming week and 2 more in the following after next week... So many before I can go for my 1 week break... And to add it up, one more after the break...-.- Tough weeks ahead~ 

Moreover, labs r starting next week or should I say tmr? No more early day for Monday... Sigh~ 

Even so, drawing is (don't know how many times I had said but still hav to say) part of me- it's my entertainment during my studies; I can go on without TV/Anime; so long I can draw or doodle~ It allows me to escape reality for a while~ 

Apart from that, went to open hse for a research company and debating whether to send my resume to try for an internship; it's quite a good company that I'm afraid my pathetic resume(with not much stuff) will not give me a place to intern there... But no harm trying, huh? The problem now is to write that resume to be sent; lacking of time and also how should I go about writing... Sigh... The headache...

Happy Birthday, Kanan Chan!-10/2(Updated)

Started since yesterday and only finished today~ It's quite early(cos I won't hav the time ltr) but Happy Birthday, Matsuura Kanan! Since her birthday is near chinese new year, drew her in qi bao~ 

Think I screwed up the qi bao from how I see but it's actually still acceptable if I view it in another angle... 

But what's the most screwed thing- The colouring... The qi bao was supposed to be in light pink but cos of my failed shading... I gt to overwrite that shading(wrong use of pink) and turned out into this...Hot pink-.- But glad that the flower design turned up great!(Designing isn't my cup of tea/coffee but feel plain if there's no design on the qi bao~)

Other than that, the wording... Been a while since I write in chinese so pardon me...><

For a rather rushed and fast drawing, I suppose it's still not that bad(mustn't be too hard on myself on CNY...)

'Interesting' finding:

Not sure y Set 4 doesn't have much likes as I expected...(Normally, I see no. of likes to gauge the appeal lvl of my work...o.o) 

I thought it was fairy well done(esp that Samurai Yukiho cos I loved that pose~ Violinist Nozomi too; minus that pathetic hand and violin drawing...) Not even Violinist Nozomi was spared that judgement... 

Was this set too OOC or that not many ppl know the sisters of Honoka & Eli??? I mean they do appear quite a lot, tbh! But maybe don't play a prevalent roles...(*Nice to know their VAs are also the same ones for Chitoge & Haru from Nisekoi where both girls are great pals~)

And then, this:

Was able to get much likes(that I am surprised myself...) I won't say I didn't like it(Was glad that it turned out 'alright' since I'm bad with drawing 3D from front; that shooting from front is really hard to imagine- if u seen closely, the right hand was badly drawn-.-)

And not even the recent work, Shinigami Tsubasa match that amt of likes...

 Is it really cos of the OOCness??? Sigh... Oh well, main & impt thing is that I had fun drawing them~ Gng work on Anju soon>8<

Slight ramblings:

Sch been busy so less time to draw(and even less for animes... Sad that RWBY vol 3's ending next wk-.-) It's gng be a tough semester but I will survive(I think...?) Quiz and assignments coming after CNY... Plus lab's starting too; less early days... Gng nid to toughen out/last till another 2 weeks before my 1 week of break(which really isn't a break but a time to catch up my work...But at least I can catch more slp~) 

Doubt I will completely stop drawing though(since it is my way out of reality~)

Deviantart Holiday Card Project 2015

This project is like an annual thingy that Deviants will make christmas cards for patients in the states(not sure where & correct if I'm wrong><) And the 'reward' is 1 mth worth of Core membership or u can say, premium member. But most imptly is the fun and joy in making and giving!

I joined in 2014 and 2015 was the 2nd yr I joined. However,(different from 2014), I submitted quite late last yr and was afraid the card couldn't make it in time...(Procrastinated too much-.-)

But all these were gone by this:

So at first... I thought some super kind and good person gave me a core membership when I saw mail! Until I checked my Deviantart Acc that I realise...

The membership's from the holiday card project!!! My card actually made it!!!^^ Can heave a sigh of relief! And with this membership, I can add a few functions;

Not sure if after 1 mth, will the functions be gone...o.o
